Partnership with the environmental protection organization GECCI from Nigeria

Pink Elements is pleased to announce that we have entered into a partnership with the Nigerian environmental protection organization “Green Environment and Climate Change”

Initiative (GECCI) — https://www.geccinitiative.org/.

GECCI’s main objective is to combat climate change and deforestation. By initiating various environmental projects and programs in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, GECCI seeks to raise awareness, inform and educate local people about environmental issues and damage and the threat they pose to Nigerian society.

Water and climate change are inextricably linked, with climate change affecting water supply in complex ways: From unpredictable rainfall patterns, rising sea levels, floods and droughts, most of the impacts of climate change have to do with water.

While about 67% of citizens in Nigeria have access to a basic drinking water supply, water availability and distribution patterns influenced by climate change vary widely at the local level. Climate change is having an increasing impact on water quantity and quality. Clean water and a healthy environment are fundamental to our well-being and our future.

We at Pink Elements are therefore all the more pleased to be working with the Green Environment and Climate Change Initiative (GECCI) to raise awareness of clean water and provide important information on water quality worldwide, including in Nigeria.

The common goal is to make information on drinking water quality accessible to the widest possible public in a decentralised, transparent and generally understandable way. In addition, information and education on clean water and environmental protection are to be communicated.

We therefore look forward to working in partnership with the GECCI team for the benefit of our community.
